Tia Ghee is the Khoi for "secluded" and no word could describe it better. Although less than three and a half kilometers from the tar road, this bush camp is in such forested terrain at the foothills of the Elandsberge that you could be in the middle of nowhere if it was not so conveniently located. Tia Ghee offers accommodation in tents spaced out for privacy in the forest along the course of the stream.
Each tent stands in its own clearing on a permanent wooden deck. There are comfortable beds and all bedding and towels are provided. Presently there are seven tents sleeping two persons each and two family tents which can normally sleep four or five. The "bosberaad" tent can accommodate a meeting of up to 25 persons.
Relax around the camp fire and socialise with your neighbours - you never know where they may have come from.
Facilities:
Being in the heart of the forest does not mean one has to forgo the basic comforts. There are hot showers and flush toilets in the ablution facilities and the family tents have their own private facilities. Breakfast and dinner are served in the lapa area. Light lunches are also available on request.

Take the R331 from Hankey, go through Patensie and 9 kms past Patensie turn right at the small "Tia Ghee" sign. Follow the track for just under 3½ kms to the reception. There are signs where necessary.
