Thornycroft Lodge is nestled in the heart of Horseshoe Valley, on a large country estate resting on the banks of the Nahoon River. The surrounding hills and lush landscape cocoon you in a bubble of tranquility, separating you from the city of East London, which is only a 10 minute drive away.
An ‘outdoor living’ approach, coupled with uncomplicated designs and natural tones, creates a relaxed atmosphere where you can really put your feet up, taking in the sounds of the valley.

Our spacious guest suites, fully equipped with queen size bed and a separate lounge with home entertainment system, make maximum use of natural light, with large sliding doors opening onto the tropical gardens.

Guests are welcome to make use of our mini video library, either in their room, or in our mini-cinema, at no charge.

Full English gourmet breakfasts, light lunches and exquisite three course dinners are served in the dining room or, wheather permitting, al fresco.

The thatched poolside bar is the heart of the lodge and the ideal way to end the day. Enjoy a game of pool, darts, table tennis or Nintendo WII, or catch your favourite sport on the big screen.
