In a woodland valley, between a tranquil stream and the foothills of the ancient Magaliesberg Mountians, lies Saamrus. We provide pet friendly, private, fully contained self catering cottages.

Cottages:
At Saamrus we have given each cottage a homely feel. We have endeavoured to think of every convenience to make your stay more comfortable - however we are always open to new suggestions.
Please note that the cottages on the hill are only accessible by 4 x 4, or Bakkie. We offer transport up and down the hill on arrival and departure for people coming by car.
All Cottages are equipped as follows:
- All Cottages are fenced in for the dogs.
- Kitchens - Fridge, microwave, two plate stove, kettle, toaster, pots and pans, crockery and cutlery, dishwashing liquid and dishcloths. Braai utensils are also included.
- Bathrooms - All cottages have showers, and some also have baths. Towels, soap, air freshener and toilet paper are supplied.
- Bedrooms - Bed linen, pillows and blankets are supplied.
Tarentaal & Kiewiet (both sleep 2)
Close to the river walks, surrounded by indigenous trees with views toward the woodland koppie. This is a birdlovers paradise!
Ideal for a couple, or two friends, sharing.
Karee & Olienhout (both sleep 2)
These romantic and cosy cottages have views in all directions. They have been built far apart for privacy and seclusion.
Suitable for a couple or two friends sharing.
Akasia (sleeps 2 - 4 )
Situated on the hill, in the veld, Akasia is a comfortable one bedroom cottage with views in all directions.
Suitable for one couple, or four people
HoepHoep (sleeps 2 - 6 )
Situated at the foot of the koppie with dense indigenous trees behind it and a meadow in front. It is close to the river walks, and absolutely private.
Suitable for a couple, or family group up to six.
Suikerbos (sleeps 2 - 6 )
Suikerbos is popular for its large wooden deck with stunning views of the mountains. It has two en-suite bedrooms, (showers only), and two divan beds in the lounge.
Ideal for two couples sharing - or a large family group up to six.
Saamrus Rates from 1 Oct 2009
* All rates quoted are per person per night, self catering.
* A minimum of two nights stay required on weekends.
* On long weekends, the full number of nights must be booked.
* Children under 12, occupying beds, pay R165 per night.
* Children 12- 18yrs, occupying beds, pay R230 per night.
* Midweek single rate R400 per night.. Minimum rate per cottage applies on weekends.
* On weekends, a minimum charge, equal to two adults sharing, applies.
* Midweek bookings - stay three nights - get the fourth night free. Except high season.
* To secure a booking, at least 50% deposit is required within 48 hours after booking.
* Pets stay for free!
