Gunner's Lodge is situated in the heart of Overberg region in a village with old-world charm. The lodge, a century old home offers comfortable serenity and charm with en-suite bathrooms, DSTV, tea and coffee making facilities in the spacious rooms furnished relaxing colours and natural woods, and a marvellous view of the surrounding mountains and valleys of Napier. A 3 course English breakfast is served to all guests every morning including fresh fruits in season. Only 1hr from Cape Town International airport thro some of the most spectacular country side. Napier, established in 1838, is ideally situated in the Overberg and is 30 minutes drive from almost everywhere in the area. The well-known seaside resorts of Arniston, Struisbay, Cape Agulhas, Gansbaai are on our doorstep. Hermanus is just 45 minutes away with the magnificent De Hoop nature reserve only 1hr away.

Gunner's Mess, a restaurant of considerable fame in the Overberg, boasts and large diversified menu, including all home cooked meals and steaks, curries, burgers and a delicious Game menu. Open from 8.30 am til late, closed all day Monday.
