Tulbagh Country Manor: Tulbagh Country Guest House is our guesthouse and the jewel in The Cape Dutch Quarters's crown. Established in 1999, the guesthouse can accommodate up to twelve people in five en-suite bedrooms and suites. The guesthouse is situated in a 200-year-old manor house that was built in 1809 and retains all of its original features.
The guesthouse manor is a classic 'H-shaped' house, the epitome of grand Cape Dutch living, and has been beautifully restored to its former glory, and is situated on Tulbagh's historic Church Street. The owners of the guesthouse have taken great care to retain the authentic atmosphere of this lovely home with its yellowwood floors, ceilings and grand rooms, as well as the antiques and art that are on display througout the guesthouse and in all the rooms.
The little Courtyards, the Wittedrift Manor House and The Wagon Shed: Little courtyards is a fully equipped self-catering house is situated in Church Street, Tulbagh and sleeps 6 in 2 king-size en-suite bedrooms and a twin room in the garden.
The Wittedrift Manor house:
Built to impress, this fully equipped self-catering mansion is situated in Tulbagh's Church Street and sleeps up to twelve in three double family suites. Each of the three wings consists of a large King room with a separate twin room and private bathroom.
The Wagonshed:
This fully equipped Tulbagh self-catering unit in sleeps 2 in an open plan living/kitchen area, with an en suite bath and shower room. Accommodation can be either self-catering or B&B.
Tulbagh Travellers Lodge/Backpackers’ in the ‘Old Bank:’ Located on the first floor, (up a flight of steps), the Tulbagh Travellers Lodge offers guests spacious accommodation in clean, well-decorated bright and sunny rooms. For your convenience and pleasure, there is a large open-plan communal kitchen and lounge with sofas, satellite TV and CD/MP3 Player, as well as cards, board games and free wireless internet access.
The kitchen is equipped as self catering with a hot plate, fridge, microwave and all the other essentials. Tea, coffee, sugar and other basics are provided free of charge.

Driving from Cape Town (130km)
- Take the N1 towards Paarl for half an hour
- Exit left at Exit for Klapmuts/Wellington R44 (before Paarl).
- Turn left at the T junction and continue 15 minutes to Wellington
- On entering Wellington, turn left at the traffic lights (with the R44). The sign reads ‘Distillery Road-Hermon/Ceres’
- Continue for 30 minutes and through the Nuwekloof pass
- Continue 5 minutes through the pass and then follow the Tulbagh signs left into town
- At the T junction turn left into Tulbagh Main Road/Van Der Stel Road.
The Cape Dutch Quarter-Tulbagh Travellers Inn (#77 Van Der Stel Road) in is on the left after 300m.
